Writers In Townsville Society (WITS)

WITS meetings are held in the Riverside Community Hall. If you haven’t already been, come and check out this beautiful venue. Meetings commence with a weekly writing exercise and then each member is given the opportunity of a ten minute time slot in which to share works in progress, discuss their writing issues, and to receive constructive critique if they wish. 

John Bell, who recently launched his new novel, Payback, will be giving an author talk at WITS on Wednesday March 26th. This free talk will be held at Riverside Community Centre. All welcome.

Hi Everyone, committee are currently planning the 10th Gumburu Annual Writers’ Retreat, from 29th September - 2nd October.

Four days of writing workshops will be held in the beautiful north Queensland rainforest at Paluma. Tutors to be announced.
